If you are like me, and aren’t romantically inclined to love ‘walking on rainy days’… then get yourself a rain coat.
Not one of those barely waterproof things that a good dose of rain will soak through and negate its waterproof-ness.
No.
I mean like a rubberised plastic-ky one. With a hood with that pulley string thing so it can tighten to fit your head. I’m talking about a rain coat like THAT.
It will change your life.
You will experience in elation, walking freely without fighting the wind and holding up an umbrella that will blow inside out.
You will stroll in satisfaction, knowing your sweatshirt and jeans won’t be soaked through by the time you get five minutes up the road.
You will march in merriment, with your hands swinging free watching those pesky rain drops bounce off your rubbery armour and won’t bat an eyelid when that car drives too fast through a puddle and splashes you.
And if you get some wellies too? Well that’s it. Game over.
People. Get you a raincoat.

WRITERS TIP
All professionals were amateurs once. The difference? They practiced.
All authors had stories that were just in their head once. The difference? They wrote.
So. Let’s get that story out of your head and onto some paper, shall we? (Out of your head and onto a computer works too.)
